Job summary

MTM Transit in Austin, TX is seeking a Facilities Foreman to lead maintenance of buildings, grounds and equipment. You will coordinate day-to-day operations, supervise a team, and ensure safety and quality across all systems.

The role requires a proactive problem-solver with strong organizational skills. You’ll work with multiple internal stakeholders and external vendors, tracking progress and reporting to the Fleet and Facilities Manager.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of Facility Management experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift up to 25–30 pounds and perform physical duties.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform day-to-day maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment.
• Supervise staff installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining building systems.
• Keep Fleet and Facilities Manager updated on activities and status.
• Maintain a safe and productive working environment.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors for facilities maintenance and related services.
• Track repairs, projects, work orders, and supplies to ensure timely completion.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities.

The **Facilities Foreman** plans, schedules, supervises, and maintains the buildings, grounds, and equipment at the highest level of care. The **Facilities Foreman** will assign, delegate and track work order assignments to ensure that they are completed in a safe, proper and timely manner. It is also the responsibility of the **Facilities Foreman** to respond to and handle after-hours emergencies as needed and/or as directed. The **Facilities Foreman** will also be expected to perform the same duties as a Facilities Technician.
