Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Facilities Manager to plan, schedule, supervise, and monitor day-to-day maintenance of buildings, vehicles, grounds, and equipment. You will lead maintenance, security, janitorial, warehouse, and housekeeping teams, manage contracts, and ensure safety and SOP compliance.

You will direct preventative maintenance, fleet operations, and property improvements, while coordinating with Directors and Program Managers to allocate resources and control costs.

Qualifications

• Ten years progressively responsible experience performing skilled maintenance and repair work for commercial buildings and grounds, with at least five years in a supervisory capacity.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain is required.
• Comprehensive knowledge of facilities maintenance, safety procedures and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, assign and supervise maintenance and grounds staff.
• Oversee preventative maintenance of mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and vehicles.
• Manage vehicle fleet records, inspections and repairs.
• Monitor expenditures to ensure budget compliance and cost efficiency.
• Ensure security, safety and operational standards across facilities and grounds.
