Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Southern Territory is seeking a Facilities Manager for the Houston Area Command in Houston, Texas. The role leads daily maintenance, repairs, and inspections of buildings, grounds, and vehicles, ensuring safety and compliance with procedures.

You will supervise maintenance staff, coordinate contracted services, and perform or oversee more complex repair tasks while maintaining property inventories and equipment condition.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of two or more trades (building, electrical or mechanical).
• Experience with plumbing, electrical, construction, and HVAC equipment.
• Must be aware of safety practices and able to supervise maintenance work.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and supervise day-to-day maintenance and repairs of buildings, grounds, vehicles and transportation.
• Supervise and evaluate subordinate maintenance staff and contracted services.
• Ensure equipment and facilities comply with SOPs and safety standards; participate in complex repairs.
• Operate Salvation Army vehicle to transport materials as needed and maintain inventory of property.
