Job summary

Volunteer State Community College in Gallatin, TN seeks a Facilities Associate to support the Manager of Facilities and Director of Plant Operations. You will schedule bus drivers, manage fleet usage, and track maintenance for all college vehicles, including police and buses.

Responsibilities include coordinating bids, processing work orders, and assisting with invoices and reports, while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with safety rules.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1 year of related experience.
• Experience with fleet management is preferred.
• Experience with the RFP/bid process is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assign and manage bus and fleet vehicle use.
• Track, maintain, and schedule maintenance for all college vehicles.
• Facilitate communications via telephone, computerized maintenance management system, and two-way radio.
• Perform financial reconciliation of reports.
• Coordinate bids and purchase orders for the Manager of Facilities.
• Arrange meetings and maintain appointments for the Manager of Facilities and Director of Plant Operations.
