Job summary

VenuWorks seeks an experienced Facility Operations Manager in Ashland, KY to lead all event-related facility conversions, maintenance, and custodial services. The role requires coordinating a flexible schedule, managing budgets, and ensuring safety and compliance across building systems.

The ideal candidate will oversee trades staff, perform preventive maintenance, and work with vendors to support daily operations and events.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree or two years of experience in building conversion activities and mechanical repair.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and speech.
• Thorough knowledge of building systems and safety practices.
• Knowledge of business management basics and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all facility operations including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and custodial services.
• Hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate staff for setup, operation, and teardown.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on building systems.
• Develop and follow preventive maintenance plans and budgets.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Schedule and coordinate events, ensuring energy efficiency and safety.
