Job summary

JLL is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the engineering team in the Gilbert/Mesa/Phoenix area, ensuring safe, reliable operation of all mechanical and electrical systems. You will drive maintenance programs, oversee contractors, and uphold regulatory standards.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in central plant operations with 5+ years in leadership, plus CMMS and MS Office proficiency. This on-site role offers growth within a premier real estate services firm.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in central plant operations with 5+ years in leadership
• Deep knowledge of maintenance processes and construction planning
• Experience with chillers, cooling towers, AHUs/RTUs, boilers and electrical systems
• Proven ability to lead large technical teams and improve uptime/cost efficiency
• Strong communication skills and customer service record
• Proficiency with CMMS and MS Office

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership for the engineering team to achieve uptime baseline and safety standards
• Implement inspection and monitoring programs and define maintenance best practices
• Supervise engineers and maintenance staff; manage contractor activities
• Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain infrastructure documentation
• Oversee CFWA process and maintain drawings and regulatory records
