Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. seeks a Facilities/Project Coordinator at the Sanford, NC site to drive capital and expense improvements in a manufacturing setting. You will partner with SMDC leaders to plan, execute, and close projects while maintaining safety and adherence to budgets and schedules.

Responsibilities include coordinating with vendors and contractors, managing scope and timelines, and ensuring reliable, efficient operations with minimal disruption to production and testing activities.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in facilities, maintenance, engineering, construction, project coordination, or a related field.
• Experience executing facility repairs, infrastructure improvements, or capital and expense projects in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Experience developing scopes of work, coordinating contractors, and managing project schedules and costs.
• Working knowledge of purchasing, work-order systems, preventive maintenance, asset management, and 5S.

Responsibilities

• Identify, prioritize, and execute capital and expense-funded improvements with leaders and stakeholders.
• Manage scope, schedules, estimates, spending, risks, documentation, implementation, and closeout.
• Coordinate facility work around Engineering, Prove Design, testing, and Endurance activities to minimize disruption.
• Ensure work complies with safety, environmental, security, and contractor requirements.
• Provide regular project updates and communicate status, risks, and decisions needed.
