Job summary

The University of Georgia is seeking a Temporary Facilities Engineer Intern to support the Griffin Campus Facilities Management team with daily tasks and projects. This role offers hands-on learning, exposure to project management, and experience in facilities operations that contribute to the university's mission.

The internship runs with a Monday–Friday schedule (7:30am–4:30pm). Start anticipated on 03/31/2025, with background checks and credential verification as part of the employment

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities.
• Conscientious self‑starter with good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with maintenance staff in system troubleshooting, resolving facilities operation problems and repairs.
• Assist in coordinating construction activities and schedules, participate in meetings and provide updates on project status.
• Work on special projects, new designs and prepare drawings.
• Research file drawings and project files, perform other duties as assigned.
