Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking an Operating Engineer in Chandler, AZ. You will operate, maintain, and repair critical facility equipment, with expertise in at least one craft (Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, or Central Utility Plant Operations) and broad capability across building systems.

You will perform preventative maintenance, monitor systems, record readings, and coordinate with vendors while safeguarding safety standards and quality.

Qualifications

• Technical expertise in at least one craft area: Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, or Central Utility Plant Operations.
• Multi-skilled across building systems and equipment types.
• Experience with facility services, preventative maintenance, and inventory control processes.
• Knowledge of safety protocols for hazardous material storage, usage, and disposal.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical systems.
• Understanding of quality control processes and vendor management.
• Capacity to work independently and complete daily/weekly work assignments.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, monitoring, and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems to maintain facility standards.
• Execute preventative maintenance programs including cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and replacing parts to optimize HVAC systems and associated equipment performance.
• Record equipment readings and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation of all facility systems.
• Review monthly client service request summaries to identify and resolve recurrent operational problems.
• Monitor and evaluate vendor and supplier performance regarding quality standards and competitive pricing.
• Verify accuracy of deliveries including count, pricing, and product descriptions.
• Conduct periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory to ensure operational readiness.
