Job summary

JLL in Frisco, TX is seeking a Building Engineer to keep critical building systems running smoothly across client sites. You’ll diagnose, repair, and optimize mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and control systems while leading maintenance tasks and supporting event setup as needed.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and 3+ years in facility operations, with EPA Universal Technician certification or ability to obtain it within 90 days. Strong teamwork and flexibility are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in facility operations or building maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting.
• EPA Universal Technician Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
• Ability to analyze the operation of various systems and take corrective action.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Availability for call-in work and flexible scheduling.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment at client sites.
• Monitor mechanical, plumbing, structural, and control systems to standards.
• Record readings and adjust HVAC equipment for optimal performance.
• Support facility services, preventive maintenance, and vendor coordination.
• Lead event setup/teardown and coordinate with security as needed.
• Comply with safety policies and maintain a clean, safe workplace.
