Job summary

JLL in Frisco, TX is hiring a Building Engineer to maintain and repair facility equipment across systems, with focus on electrical, HVAC, plumbing and life safety. You’ll troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, monitor readings, and coordinate with vendors to ensure minimum disruption for client sites.

The role requires a high school diploma, 3+ years in facility operations, basic electrical knowledge, EPA Universal Technician Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days, and strong

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of facility operations or building maintenance experience.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and ability to troubleshoot/repair.
• EPA Universal Technician Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Ability to analyze operation of various systems and take corrective action.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel; strong communication with clients and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment at client sites with minimal disruption.
• Perform maintenance on mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire, life safety, and control systems.
• Record readings, calibrate, and adjust equipment for optimum HVAC performance.
• Oversee facility services, preventive maintenance, purchasing and inventory control.
• Review client service summaries and coordinate with outside contractors.
• Assist with event setup/teardown including AV coordination and security.
• Adhere to safety policies for storage and disposal of hazardous materials.
