Job summary

MGM Resorts International, Las Vegas, NV, invites applications for a Dispatcher to provide excellent internal and external Guest Service by supporting guests, engineers and other departments. The starting rate is $21.00 per hour, with duties spanning dispatch, guest inquiries, and maintaining safety and cleanliness standards.

The ideal candidate brings 21+ years old, a high school diploma or GED, and preferably technical training or apprenticeship; hospitality experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical school or completed apprenticeship in similar trade preferred.
• Experience in the hospitality industry or similar environment.
• Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Manage computerized maintenance management systems to prioritize, manage and dispatch maintenance team, complete assigned administrative tasks on a consistent basis
• Recognize required needs of a fast-paced environment by using good judgment and the ability to multi-task; own all requests and complaints; resolve issues immediately and follow up to ensure the guest’s satisfaction; answer incoming calls and assist when necessary or direct calls to appropriate areas
• Practice teamwork, create a positive work environment, greet fellow employees and thank them when they lend assistance; anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, no matter how busy or time of day; prioritize guest requests/dispatches
• Knowledgeable of Department and Hotel goals; knowledgeable of hotel information to answer guest inquiries, and work under minimal supervision to complete tasks in a timely manner
• Maintain a constant awareness of personal and property cleanliness, safety and accident prevention
