Job summary

MGM Grand, a property of MGM Resorts, is seeking a Facilities Systems Operator to manage maintenance dispatch, assign tasks to engineers, and respond to life safety system alerts. You will play a key role in ensuring guest and staff safety and delivering seamless service across on-site properties.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of dispatch experience, a high school diploma or GED, and flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent qualification is required.
• At least 1 year of prior dispatch experience required.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of Life Safety Systems and emergency response protocols.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming maintenance calls and log details.
• Allocate work orders to engineering personnel.
• Monitor fire alarm panels and life safety system alerts and dispatch teams.
• Record all employee call-ins and direct them to the appropriate staff.
• Maintain a dispatch log for accountability and transparency.
• Document time and activities during emergency events.

THE JOB:

Join the MGM Grand team as a Facilities Systems Operator and become a key player in delivering exceptional experiences! In this dynamic role, you'll manage inbound maintenance requests, dispatch engineering teams, and respond to life safety system alerts, ensuring a safe and seamless environment for both guests and staff. THE STARTING RATE:

$19.36 an hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Maintenance Request Management: Answer incoming calls related to maintenance and repair needs for on-site and off-site properties, logging details into the system.
• Task Assignment: Allocate work orders to engineering personnel based on the information received from calls.
• Life Safety System Response: Monitor fire alarm panels and other safety system alerts, identify the affected area, and promptly dispatch engineering teams to address the situation.
• Personnel Coordination: Record all employee call-ins and direct them to the appropriate department or staff for follow-up.
• Activity Tracking: Maintain a detailed dispatch log to track all actions and activities throughout the day for accountability and transparency.
• Emergency Documentation: Accurately document time and activities during emergency events to ensure proper record-keeping and coordination.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older.
• Education: High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent qualification is required.
• Experience: At least 1 year of prior dispatch experience required.
• Availability: Must be flexible and available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of Life Safety Systems: Familiarity with life safety systems and emergency response protocols.
