Equiliem is seeking a Facilities Manager to lead a six-to-eight-person team across multiple school sites in New York. The role oversees preventive maintenance, repairs, emergency responses, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Strong coordination with staff, vendors, and leadership is essential. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 5+ years of management experience, and proficiency with CMMS, MS Office, Google Suite, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of facilities/maintenance management experience.
• FDNY S12, S13, S95 and related certifications preferred; must be obtained within 90 days of start.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and building systems; familiar with regulatory requirements for school facilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite and Excel; quick to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Lead a facilities team of six to eight people; establish clear chain of command.
• Oversee preventive and reactive maintenance, and coordinate emergency call activities.
• Manage CMMS ticketing for staff requests and track response times.
• Ensure inspections and documentation comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Coordinate vendor bids, budgeting, and invoice processing; support school staff and leadership.
