Job summary

Columbia North YMCA in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking a Facility Director to oversee the operation and maintenance of the branch complex. You will supervise housekeeping staff, manage preventative maintenance, and coordinate repairs or renovations as needed.

You will lead hiring, training, and performance evaluation for maintenance teams, manage budgets, and schedule projects to minimize disruption to members.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing a large facility or multiple facilities.
• Experience with electrical, HVAC, pool filtration and grounds maintenance.
• Experience managing staff and working with contractors.
• Knowledge of budget development and compliance, licenses as required.
• Work order system experience required.

Responsibilities

• Direct operations and personnel in maintenance and cleaning of the branch and grounds.
• Conduct daily evaluation of equipment and facilities and address safety/cleanliness issues.
• Manage, coordinate and schedule project work with minimal service disruption.
• Ensure safety and risk procedures, maintain logs, and perform daily audits.
• Responsible for hiring, training and evaluating facility maintenance staff.
• Create staff schedules, monitor time sheets, payroll, and department budgets.
