Job summary

The Retreat at Ladys Island by Phoenixsrliving is seeking a Facilities Director to lead the facilities management operations at the Ladys Island community in South Carolina. This role oversees maintenance, HVAC, security, housekeeping and related budgets while coordinating with the Executive Director.

You will supervise staff, liaise with external vendors, ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards, and drive continuous improvement across maintenance and facilities services.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/ GED required.
• Two (2) years supervisory and management experience.
• Three (3) years facilities experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and code knowledge.
• Valid Driver's License (if Applicable).
• Certification may be required per state.
• Experience preferred in maintaining water heat source pumps.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, develops and leads facilities management operations in accordance with Phoenix standards.
• Oversees maintenance tasks and coordinates with external vendors.
• Responds to emergencies and directs others accordingly.
• Liaises with the Executive Director and external vendors.
• Monitors maintenance logs and budgets; ensures timely responses.
• Oversees HVAC system, fire protection and general facility safety.
• Coordinates consultants, contractors and internal resources for large projects.
• Manages department staffing, training, coaching and performance.
• Reviews timekeeping and payroll related to facilities operations.
