Job summary

The Director of Facilities at Northwest Medical Center Tucson leads hospital-wide facility operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient environments that support high-quality patient care.

You will supervise a team of facility managers and technicians, manage the facilities budget, coordinate with clinical and administrative departments, and drive continuous improvements in safety, regulatory compliance, and operational performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• Seven+ years of direct experience in lieu of a degree is accepted.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of leadership experience required/preferred

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise a team of facility managers, technicians, and staff.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of hospital facilities (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, ADA, Joint Commission and healthcare standards.
• Develop and manage the facility operations budget and forecasting.
• Collaborate with departments to align facility needs with hospital objectives.
• Maintain safety, infection control, and regulatory readiness.
• Maintain accurate employee files and training.
