Maplewood Senior Living in Darien, CT, seeks an Environmental Services Director to oversee the community’s physical plant, maintenance, and housekeeping operations. The role ensures safety, cleanliness, and resident comfort, while coordinating staff and contractors.

You will manage budgets, staffing plans, and compliance with OSHA and state regulations, and lead a team dedicated to high-quality service in a senior living environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess a High School Diploma or greater.
• Minimum of three years supervisory experience in maintenance/housekeeping.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for assisted living/memory care.
• Understanding of HVAC systems and basic maintenance practices.
• Ability to recruit, hire, train, coach, and monitor staff.

Responsabilités

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the physical plant, maintenance, and housekeeping.
• Ensure safety, sanitation, and cleanliness of resident areas and apartments.
• Maintain preventive maintenance logs and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Monitor budget, overtime, and vendor / contract work.
