Job summary

Maplewood Senior Living, located in Plainsboro, NJ, seeks an Environmental Services Director to manage the community's physical plant, overseeing maintenance and housekeeping to keep the building safe, clean, and comfortable for residents. The role reports to the Executive Director and leads recruiting, scheduling, and staff development.

The Environmental Services Director will ensure adherence to federal/state regulations, oversee safety and sanitation programs, and collaborate with leadership

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a supervisory maintenance/housekeeping role.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and building systems.
• Familiarity with applicable regulations for assisted living facilities.
• Strong judgment and reporting to the Executive Director.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, and supervise maintenance and housekeeping staff.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with federal and state laws and fire codes.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and document hazards.
