Job summary

Compass Group USA’s ESFM division seeks a Director of Facilities to lead facilities operations in a data center environment, including staff scheduling, work orders, and vendor oversight. You will serve as the client’s primary contact for custodial, dining, pest control, landscaping, and handyman activities, while driving continuous improvement, budget management, and regulatory compliance across agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business Management, or equivalent related experience.
• Minimum of 5 years facility maintenance experience at Director, Coordinator, or Assistant Director level.
• Experience in data center maintenance projects in an evolving construction environment preferred.
• Must have supervisor level knowledge of custodial cleaning and facilities maintenance vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the single point of contact for the client overseeing custodial, dining, pest control, landscaping, snow removal, and handyman activities across the campus.
• Reviews and evaluates existing programs, services, policies and procedures as continuous improvement.
• Monitors flow and quality of work to assure timely completion of workload and adherence to standards using computerized maintenance and financial systems.
• Prepares and manages departmental budgets, including identification and execution of out of scope ad hoc maintenance opportunities.
• Manages regulatory compliance with State Health Department, OSHA, EPA, ADA, UST and other agencies.
• Provides guidance, training and motivation to custodial, dining staff, and vendor partners to realize operational excellence.
• Maintains client rapport and conducts performance evaluations; available on call during off hours as needed.
