Job summary

Compass Group USA’s ESFM division seeks a Director of Facilities to lead scheduling, maintenance workflows, and vendor management for a data center campus. This role ensures regulatory compliance, budget adherence, and high-quality facility operations while guiding custodial and dining teams.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in facility leadership, data center experience, and strong vendor management skills within a healthcare/manufacturing or tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business Management, or related experience preferred.
• Minimum 5 years facility maintenance experience at Director/Coordinator/Assistant Director level preferred.
• Experience in data center maintenance projects in evolving construction environment preferred.
• Supervision of custodial cleaning and facilities maintenance vendor management experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans staff work schedules and organizes facility maintenance related work orders.
• Oversees vendor management to ensure daily plant operations in a data center environment.
• Reviews programs, services, policies and procedures for continuous improvement.
• Manages departmental budgets and identifies out-of-scope maintenance opportunities.
• Ensures regulatory compliance with Health Department, OSHA, EPA, ADA, and other agencies.
• Provides guidance and training to custodial, dining staff and vendors to reach performance benchmarks.
• Maintains client rapport for a positive experience and handles on-call coverage as needed.
