Job summary

ESFM USA is seeking a Director of Facilities to lead maintenance, vendor management and operations in a data center environment. The role oversees custodial, dining, landscaping, and related services while ensuring regulatory compliance and budget adherence.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years at director-level in facility maintenance, with strong leadership and vendor management skills, and is able to be on-call as needed to maintain operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business Management, or equivalent related experience preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years facility maintenance experience at Director, Coordinator or Assistant Director level is preferred.
• Experience in data center maintenance projects in an evolving construction environment preferred.
• Must have supervisor level knowledge of custodial cleaning and facilities maintenance vendor management experience.

Responsibilities

• Acts as single point of contact for client overseeing custodial, dining, pest control, landscaping, snow removal, and handyman activities across campus.
• Reviews and evaluates existing programs, services, policies and procedures for continuous improvement.
• Monitors flow and quality of work to assure timely completion and adherence to standards; uses computerized programs for maintenance, projects, budgeting, and dining experiences.
• Prepares and manages departmental budgets, including identification and execution of out-of-scope maintenance opportunities.
• Ensures regulatory compliance with the State Health Department, OSHA, EPA, ADA, and other agencies.
• Provides guidance, training and motivation to custodial, dining staff, and vendor partners to realize benchmarks.
• Maintains client rapport for a positive experience and handles performance evaluations.
• On-call availability during off hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
