Job summary

Chimes is seeking a Custodian for a Monday–Friday shift at Fort Meade, MD. The role is full-time and on-site, with a set pay rate of $17.87 per hour. Primary duties include cleaning assigned areas per contract specifications, maintaining restrooms, and ensuring sanitation across facilities.

The position requires reliability and ability to perform heavy-lifting tasks as needed. Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma or equivalent and up to six months of custodial experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of custodial work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean all assigned areas in accordance with the contract specifications.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms and washable surfaces in public areas.
• Descale showers, toilet bowls, and urinals.
• Keep restrooms supplied with required paper products and soap.
• Perform routine glass and mirror cleaning.
• Scrub tile and wash walls.
• Vacuum area rugs and carpets; sweep and mop floors.
• Empty and clean public ashtrays and urns.
• Move, arrange, and lift heavy items.
• Attend work regularly and report on time.
