Job summary

Chimes is seeking a Custodian for a Monday–Friday 6:00am–3:00pm shift at the Pentagon, Washington, DC. The role pays hourly and requires adherence to contract specs and safety rules. The candidate should have minimal supervision and be capable of lifting heavy items.

Responsibilities include cleaning, disinfecting restrooms, floors, and common areas, and maintaining cleaning equipment; the position is essential to facility operations with opportunities for involvement in routine trainings.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months custodial experience preferred.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods and ascend/descend stairs.
• Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all Agency policies and procedures and follow contract specifications.
• Clean all assigned areas in accordance with the contract specifications.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms and washable surfaces in public areas.
• Descale showers, toilet bowls, and urinals.
• Keep restrooms supplied with required paper products and soap.
• Move, arrange, and lift heavy items.
• Attend required meetings and in-service training.
• Pass and comply with building and security requirements and procedures.
