Job summary

Albanyschools is seeking a Custodial Worker for the 2nd shift to maintain cleanliness and safety of school facilities in Albany, NY. Responsibilities include floor care, general cleaning, and minor maintenance as well as grounds upkeep and event setup.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and the capacity to work daily on site. Experience in custodial work is preferred but training may be provided.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning practices and equipment.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop floors, stairs and halls.
• Mow lawns, trim shrubs, rake leaves; snow removal.
• Operate heavy rug shampoo equipment.
• Unload deliveries, stock shelves, and move heavy objects.
• Arrange furniture for events and perform minor maintenance.
