Job summary

Orange County Public Schools in Orlando, FL seeks an experienced Custodial Operations Manager to lead a large team and ensure safe, clean facilities across the district. The role focuses on directing supervisory staff, implementing CQI principles, and coordinating daily custodial activities.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s preferred), 3+ years in custodial operations with supervisory experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3 years custodial operations experience with 2 years supervisory experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Experience mentoring, evaluating, problem solving and team-oriented environment preferred.
• Custodial training and certifications (e.g., FSPMA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manifest a professional code of ethics and values.
• Respond to internal and external customers in a timely, accurate, courteous manner representing OCPS in a positive light.
• Model the routine, intentional and effective use of technology in daily work, including communications, organization, and management tasks.
• Supervise custodial staff in the accomplishment of daily assignments.
• Interview, counsel, evaluate and recommend employment and termination of custodial staff.
• Inspect schools and facilities in accordance with priorities and schedules.
