Job summary

The Facilities Coordinator at Cornell University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) supports facilities operations for over 40 departments across 3.5 million square feet in New York State and beyond. You will coordinate routine and emergency maintenance, inspections, and space management for CALS Ithaca campus buildings.

Ideal candidates hold an associate degree with 5–7 years of related experience, have strong customer service and communication skills, and can manage multiple

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree with 5–7 years experience or equivalent.
• Familiarity with institutional buildings systems required.
• Strong customer service skills, including ability to interact professionally with a wide variety of clientele.
• Experience working with people from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and manage priorities effectively.
• Maintain confidentiality and organize information with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Respond to routine and emergency facility maintenance issues and coordinate repairs.
• Assist with utility interruption notifications and scheduling.
• Serve as primary contact for environmental, safety and code inspections, tests, and surveys.
• Coordinate small renovation projects and Minor Critical Maintenance (MCM) projects.
• Use databases to enter and access information and communicate with stakeholders.
