D.C. United is seeking a dedicated Facilities Coordinator to join the Facilities team at Audi Field. This role will specialize in drywall repair, plaster, and painting to ensure the stadium and team facilities remain in top condition, in addition to other assigned facilities repair and maintenance responsibilities. The ideal candidate is a skilled professional with experience in facility upkeep, drywall repair work, painting, and facility maintenance and improvement tasks, with a strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship. Responsive to work orders generated by front office departments, interpersonal communication skills, relationship building, and occasional use of computer and smartphone technology are very beneficial to the success of the successful candidate. This position requires flexibility to work the majority, if not all, major events at Audi Field.

Compensation:
$50,000 - $55,000

Role Responsibilities

Drywall Repair and Painting

  • Pay constant attention to new and ongoing issues with drywall, paint, and other aesthetic imperfections throughout Audi Field
  • Maintain a list of short- and long-term projects to fix issues as they arrive or maintain spaces as they age
  • Manage inventory of supplies including, but not limited to, paint brushes, rollers, equipment, paint, plaster, drywall sheets, and other items to keep Audi Field looking great and all supplies are kept in good condition and storage
  • Perform all aspects of drywall repair, installation, improvement, and painting, including surface preparation, color matching, and application on interior and exterior surfaces
  • Ensure all painted areas meet aesthetic and safety standards

Facilities Maintenance

  • Perform general maintenance duties, including plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and HVAC support as needed by the Facilities Manager, Lead Engineer, or Director of Facilities
  • Conduct routine inspections of stadium facilities to identify maintenance needs and complete necessary repairs
  • Assist in repairing and maintaining stadium seating, walls, flooring, and other structural elements
  • Assist in event setup and breakdown, including signage installation and temporary structure maintenance
  • Respond to maintenance requests from various departments in a timely and professional manner
  • Work collaboratively with the operations team to support stadium projects and ensure high-quality guest experience
  • Follow all safety procedures and ensure compliance with building codes and OSHA regulations
  • Be available to work the majority, if not all, major events at Audi Field, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Participate in routine Engineering and Facilities department meetings, providing insights into ongoing projects and suggested maintenance items to improve facilities operational efficiencies
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in general maintenance, painting, or a related trade
  • Live within 60 travel minutes of Audi Field
  • Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and equipment
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in identifying and completing maintenance tasks
  • Familiarity with basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work
  • Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, and lifts as needed
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical labor in various weather conditions
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Previous experience working in a stadium, sports facility, or large venue preferred but not required
  • Proficiency or better in Spanish a plus
