The University of Houston Facilities Management department is seeking a detail-oriented professional to support the development and fulfillment of contracts for operational and construction services on university projects.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.
• Department is willing to accept education in lieu of experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists Facilities/Construction Management staff with preparation of operational and construction contracts and related documentation for project-specific work.
• Communicates with vendors to finalize contracts and contract-related documents.
• Assists with research and handling of project-related contracts, memos, letters, mail-outs, documents and problem resolution.
• Ensures compliance with various reporting requirements.
• Assists with drafting project-related solicitations for procurement of operational and construction services.
• Reviews and corrects contract deficiencies and maintains final documents in designated file system.
• Monitors invoices and payments to vendors.
• Responsible for project closeouts and assists with final budget reconciliation.
• Serves on committees and task forces as a unit representative.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
