Job summary

Office of Juvenile Affairs is seeking a Construction/Maintenance Technician I/II to maintain buildings, grounds, and equipment at state facilities. Minimum two years in building trades, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is encouraged to apply.

The role covers carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance tasks across facilities, with a focus on keeping infrastructure in good repair. This is a full-time position with extensive state benefits.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in the building trades for Tech I; four years for Tech II.

Responsibilities

• Performs carpentry work in construction or renovation of buildings; erects scaffolds and builds fixed structures.
• Installs, replaces and maintains plumbing fixtures and equipment.
• Maintains lighting, electrical parts, heating, refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
• Installs and maintains locks, keys, and security devices.
