Job summary

The Wisconsin Department of Corrections is seeking a skilled facilities manager to plan and direct the institution's buildings and grounds maintenance department, coordinating building construction and remodeling with the Department of Administration and the Division of Facilities Development.

The role oversees staff and helps develop the Biennial Budget, Capital Budget, and the six-year plan to address facility needs.

Qualifications

• Planning and directing a buildings and grounds maintenance program.
• Planning and supervision of construction and remodeling projects.
• Supervising and leading day-to-day operations with subordinate staff.
• Experience with coordinating with architects, engineers, and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings, services, and infrastructure to ensure safe, reliable operations.
• Develop capital building requests and long-term project plans.
• Prepare reports and coordinate project completion with internal teams and external partners.
