Qualifications

• Six years of experience in skilled building trades including maintenance or repair.
• Three years of supervising employees, inmates, or contractors.
• Equivalency substitution: one year of college/technical training per year of non-supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspects buildings, premises, and equipment.
• Determines requirements for maintenance, construction, or renovation projects.
• Prepares cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.
• Monitors compliance with laws, rules, and regulations.
• Develops and implements budgets, policies, and procedures.
• Supervises staff, including contractors and inmates where applicable.
• Reviews plans and construction documents.
• Schedules work crews and tracks time/attendance.
