Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Operations & Maintenance Inspector to monitor construction, maintenance, and repair activities at MSFC projects.

The role requires tracking progress against drawings, specs, and NASA standards, and reporting daily on-site activities. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of inspection experience, familiarity with HVAC/electrical trades, and ability to obtain federal background clearance.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma; construction management degree preferred.
• 3+ years of inspection experience on construction projects is preferred.
• Experience with HVAC and electrical trades is valued.
• US citizenship and ability to pass federal background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction, maintenance, and repairs for conformance with contract drawings and NASA MSFC standards.
• Review submittals for accuracy and monitor via Procore.
• Evaluate progress payment requests for accuracy.
• Provide daily inspection reports showing progress and schedule status.
• Generate site inspection reports and keep them current.
• Maintain organized files of correspondence, meetings, payments, and schedules.
• Review RFIs and contract documents to ensure continuity of work.
• Assist in pre-final/final inspections and punch-list items for final payment.
• Review as-built drawings and note discrepancies.
• Comment on O&M manuals received during construction/maintenance.
