Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Operations & Maintenance Inspector to monitor construction, operations, maintenance, and repair activities at MSFC standards.

The role requires review of submittals, RFIs, and progress payments, with daily reports and robust documentation. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of inspection experience, High School Diploma, and may have HVAC or electrical trade background.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Construction Management degree a plus
• 3+ years of inspection experience on construction projects preferred
• HVAC journeyman or electrician experience valued

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction, operations, maintenance, and repairs to ensure conformance with contract drawings and NASA MSFC standards.
• Review construction submittals for accuracy and monitor them via Procore.
• Review and evaluate progress payment requests from contractors.
• Provide daily inspection reports summarizing progress and schedule status.
• Generate Inspector Site Inspection Reports and keep them current.
• Maintain orderly files for correspondence, minutes, payments, schedules, punch lists, and changes.
• Review RFIs, amendments, notices to proceed, change orders and other documents.
• Participate in pre-final and final inspections and ensure punch lists are corrected before final payment.
• Review as-built drawings and address discrepancies.
• Assist in review of O&M manuals and provide comments as needed.
