Job summary

Columbia Hospitality, Inc. is seeking a dedicated janitorial staff member to perform a variety of cleaning tasks across assigned facilities. Responsibilities include high dusting, sanitizing surfaces, bathroom cleaning, trash removal, floor care, grounds upkeep, and maintaining clean public areas.

You will follow established procedures to ensure sanitary, orderly environments daily. The role requires ability to follow written and verbal instructions, operate cleaning equipment, and work

Qualifications

• Basic operations of janitorial work.
• Basic methods, materials and equipment used in janitorial work.
• Basic safe work practices.
• Use of toxic and non-toxic chemicals (per MSDS sheets).
• Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Sufficiently communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
• Operate powered and non-powered janitorial equipment.
• Interpret written instructions and warning labels on cleaning chemicals.
• Maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties.

Responsibilities

• High dusting around rooms including lights, vents and ledges.
• Sanitizing surfaces below shoulder height with germicidal solution.
• Bathroom cleaning and sanitizing, including toilets and dispensers.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners.
• Floor dusting or vacuuming with dust mop and proper methods.
• Grounds care outdoors and cleaning of public areas.
• Food court area cleaning, table sanitizing and trash removal.
• Floor sanitizing using germicidal solution.
• Inspect rooms and ensure furniture is in order and clean.
