Job summary

City of Georgetown is seeking a Capital Improvement Projects Manager to oversee the Facilities CIP, initiate and plan projects, and manage budgets from inception to closeout. The role coordinates architects, engineers, and city departments while leading project teams to deliver on schedule and within scope.

Essential duties include leading CIP planning, bid management, and progress reporting, with a strong emphasis on compliance with city requirements and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with five years of increasing responsibility in construction project management.
• Experience with facility/commercial projects in a governmental environment preferred.
• Knowledge of construction methods and project delivery methods.

Responsibilities

• Serve as project manager for assigned Capital Improvement Plans.
• Lead budget estimates and develop 5-year CIP; coordinate plan reviews.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, inspectors, and contractors.
• Manage bid process, negotiate contracts, and handle change orders.
• Chair progress meetings and ensure project documentation is complete.
