Description

The Facilities Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of general maintenance and repair tasks in all facilities. This includes the outside grounds, general maintenance (exterior and interior), and the overall cleanliness of each building (offices, hallways, stairs, etc.).

Job Responsibilities

1. Ensure that the outside grounds and building exteriors are properly maintained, including cleaning and basic maintenance of exterior walls, windows, lighting, doors, parking lots, structures, gardens, lawns, curbs/gutters, exterior hallways, and exterior stairwells.
2. Ensure all trash is collected from all facilities and that the areas surrounding the dumpster are clean and neat at all times.
3. Ensure all building interiors are properly maintained, including cleaning facilities, maintaining walls, floors, ceilings, windows, stairwells, lighting, doors, roofs as required, and ensuring overall cleanliness and upkeep.
4. Perform basic maintenance and repair work such as painting, replacing light bulbs, appliances, fixtures (interior and exterior), windows, moving furniture and equipment, doors, gates, landscaping, and plumbing.
5. Assist tradespeople with electrical, plumbing, or HVAC repairs as needed.
6. Identify and report the need for repairs or maintenance.
7. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety guidelines and policies; ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA standards.
