Job summary

W-Industries of Texas, LLC seeks a mid to senior level automation engineer to support onshore and offshore control systems in the Gulf Coast energy sector, based in Houston. You will work with PLC/DCS hardware and software, analyze faults, and coordinate with project teams.

The role requires strong communication, safety focus, and ability to operate autonomously, with experience in Allen-Bradley and HMI/SCADA platforms. Offshore travel may be required.

Qualifications

• College Degree or Vocational Certificate in relevant field.
• Degree requirement waived for 10+ years of related work experience.
• Bachelor Technical Degree Electrical/ Computer Engineering in related fields.
• 5+ Years in direct configuration and support of control systems.

Responsibilities

• Support of various Control System hardware and software
• Modification of PLC and HMI/ SCADA software applications compliant with customer/company specifications and/or applicable industry standards.
• Participate and lead in controls fault analysis and remediation
• Coordination with project team for scheduling/ scope management and execution
• File a detailed trip report after each deployment
