Job summary

Southwest Electric Co. is seeking an Assembly Technician to read blueprints, interpret manufacturing instructions, and work with BOMs to support our power transformer manufacturing operations.

You will safely operate brake presses, bandsaws, plasma tables, and blast booths, perform tank preparation including pressure testing and paint prep, and use crane, pallet jack, and forklift. A high school diploma or GED and 2+ years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum 2 years of related experience or training
• Military experience is a plus
• Ability to pass a drug screen, physical, and nationwide background check

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, manufacturing instructions, and BOM
• Safely operate brake press, bandsaw, plasma table, and blast booth
• Perform tank preparation, including pressure testing and paint prep
• Operate hand and power tools safely
• Operate crane, pallet jack, and forklift
