Job summary

SGB-SMIT USA, a division of an international transformer manufacturer, seeks a CNC Machine Operator in Oklahoma City to support production of power and distribution transformers.

You will set up and operate the plasma cutting table, read blueprints, follow BOMs, nest parts, and ensure accurate material handling and safety. Ideal candidates have CNC or plasma table experience and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• CNC, Brake Press or Plasma Table experience required.
• GED or high school diploma required.
• Plasma table operation in a manufacturing setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC/plasma table and related lifting tools.
• Read blueprints and BOM; nest parts per BOM.
• Maintain plasma table and locate/load raw materials.
• Follow safety procedures and quality checks.

Your tasks:

• CNC Machine Operating experience.
• Maintain locate and organize raw materials through all areas of the fabrication/Weld shop per schedule and bill of materials (BOM).
• Maintain, locate, and load all associated raw materials for the plasma table.
• Ability to understand and operate plasma cutting table.
• Utilizing nesting software to cut material per manufacturing specifications.
• Verify the accuracy and quality of cut material.
• Kit all associated materials with the proper RO and stage in the appropriate areas.
• Maintain the plasma table and associated tools and equipment.
• Ability to understand and operate plasma cutting table.
• Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings.
• Read and comprehend blueprints, manufacturing instructions and Bill of Materials (BOM)
• Follow production schedule nest parts according to the bill of material (BOM).
• Verify all correct material per bill of materials (BOM).
• Ability to follow all safety procedures while operating plasma table.
• Must be able to safely operate various hand & power tools

Your profile:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
• Machine operating experience required. CNC, Brake Press or Plasma Table.
• Manufacturing environment on Plasma Table or TRADE SCHOOL.
