Job summary

SGB-SMIT USA, a division of SGB‑SMIT Group, invites skilled welders to join a global transformer leader focused on the energy transition. The role involves MIG, TIG, and Stick welding, fabricating components, and performing tank modifications in a dynamic, hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• Must pass MIG, TIG and Stick Weld Test.
• Must have Hood and Sleeves.
• High School Diploma or GED REQUIRED.
• Two Plus Years related experience or training.
• Military experience a plus.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, and physical.
• Must complete a nationwide criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Weld components according to AWS standards and job specs.
• Fabricate components by cutting, preparing, and welding pieces; assemble as required.
• Weld covers and perform tank modifications as needed.
• Understand weld symbols and interpretation.

Your tasks:

• Ability to MIG, TIG, stick weld, braze, operate cutting torches, and plasma cutter to AWS standards.

• Fabricate components by using equipment to clean, prepare, cut, burn, and weld pieces, setting up and measuring assemblies and selecting appropriate method.

• Weld cover and perform various tank modifications

• Must know and understand weld symbols.
