Job summary

SGB-SMIT USA, a division of the international transformer manufacturer, invites applications for a field-service/substation technician role in the Louisville area. You will assist with substation repairs, testing and oil processing, applying basic electrical theory and safe troubleshooting practices.

A High School Diploma or GED is required; specialized technical training or trade school in electrical theory is preferred. Military experience is a plus.

Your tasks

• Assist with substation repairs, testing and or oil processing.
• Basic Understanding of substation electrical apparatus and substations.
• Capable of assisting with repairs, testing and oil processing.
• Safe and sound troubleshooting skills using basic test equipment.

Your profile

• High School Diploma or GED REQUIRED
• Specialized training in technical discipline, trade school or electrical theory education preferred.
• Military experience is a plus.
