Qualifications

• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• 3-5 years proven supervisory experience in FAB.
• Knowledge of FAB operations (yield, quality grades, carcass anatomy).
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
• Extensive traveling may include extended stays at plant sites.

Responsibilities

• Promote succession development within area of responsibility.
• Encourage professional team building.
• Oversee employee training in assigned area(s).
• Participate in operational meetings.
• Evaluate departmental work performance and take corrective actions as necessary.
• Use Kronos reporting information to establish crewing shortages.
• Scheduling (communicating with employees on tasks that need to be completed).
• Develop and implement operational strategies to maximize productivity, efficiency, and produce a quality product.
• Troubleshoot areas to minimize downtime during production.
• Perform SQF checks in area of responsibility to assure all assignments are completed.
• Constantly monitor department for cleanliness / housekeeping.
• Ensure product contamination is kept to a minimum.
• Conduct job specific training to guarantee proper operation of equipment.
• Follow and monitor proper safety equipment usage and safety practices.
• Perform thorough accident investigations as necessary.
• Holding monthly safety meetings and group discussions to ensure compliance with regulations.
