Job summary

Western Valley Meat Company is seeking a Buildings and Grounds Lead to supervise fabrication and maintenance in our facilities. You will lead the team, plan projects, and ensure safety while working with welded metals, machinery, and building systems.

The role requires strong welding skills (TIG/MIG/Arc), blueprint literacy, and the ability to read technical docs. Outdoor/factory environment; must collaborate with engineers and designers.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team preferred.
• Strong knowledge of TIG, MIG, and arc welding.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and practices.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead buildings and grounds fabrication projects.
• Measure and cut materials; operate saws, grinders, drills.
• Weld, solder, or bond metals including steel and aluminum.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Troubleshoot fabrication equipment.
