Job summary

Great Basin Industrial, LLC is seeking a Processing Lead to supervise and actively participate in the metal processing and machine shop workflow. You will coordinate daily production, manage department personnel, and ensure quality and on-time delivery.

The role requires 3–5 years in steel fabrication or machining, strong leadership, and the ability to read fabrication drawings. Tekla PowerFab experience is preferred. Attractive benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years steel fabrication, plate processing, or machining experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with burn tables, saws, plate rolls, or similar equipment.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and machining prints.
• Leadership ability with strong communication skills.
• Experience using Tekla PowerFab preferred

Responsibilities

• Hands-On Production Work: actively operate department equipment and assist machinists with setup and material prep to maintain production flow.
• Production Flow Coordination: coordinate daily production activities and assign tasks based on priorities to avoid bottlenecks.
• Shop Floor Supervision: provide leadership and ensure productivity and adherence to procedures.
• Quality Control: perform dimensional and visual inspections and verify parts against drawings and CNC files.
• Production Tracking & Documentation: track parts and progress using Tekla PowerFab GO and update status.
• Training & Mentorship: train new employees and mentor others in equipment operation and procedures.
• Safety & Housekeeping: enforce PPE and maintain clean, safe work areas.
