Job summary

Global Power Components seeks a Weld Lead to oversee MIG welders and fabrication staff on site. You will manage daily activities, ensure production meets schedules, and drive quality while maintaining safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires CWI certification and at least four years on a shop floor, with blueprint reading and troubleshooting skills to ensure compliance with engineering specs.

Qualifications

• CWI certification required for Weld Lead role.
• Minimum four years of manufacturing facility experience on the shop floor.
• Ability to measure, compare and perform shop calculations to meet specs.
• Experience reading blueprints and interpreting drawings.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve shop floor issues.
• Experience with steel is a plus; detail oriented to meet customer specs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities of MIG Welders/fabricators and delegate duties.
• Train and motivate staff to meet demanding manufacturing requirements.
• Assist with tasks as necessary to complete assignments.
• Test products/equipment for defects/malfunctions.
• Work in a safe manner.
• Communicate changes and updates to employees on processes and procedures.
