Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Fabrication Associate in Kansas City, MO. The role offers a $23.00 per hour wage with a steady Monday–Friday schedule from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM in a hands‑on fabrication environment.

As a member of a safety‑focused team, you will operate band saws, threading machines, and other fabrication equipment, measuring and preparing pipe to meet customer specs and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6–8 months of recent experience operating machinery in manufacturing/fabrication/industrial settings.
• Ability to read a tape measure and do basic math.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort with tools/equipment.
• Ability to lift and work in a physically active environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate fabrication equipment such as band saws, threading machines, and automated production machinery.
• Measure, cut, thread, and bevel pipe per work orders.
• Move and organize materials with handling equipment.
• Assemble pipe orders for shipment and perform quality inspections.

What You’ll Do

As a Fabrication Associate, you’ll play a key role in preparing and fabricating pipe products that meet customer specifications and quality standards.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Operating fabrication equipment such as band saws, threading machines, and automated production machinery
• Measuring, cutting, threading, and beveling pipe according to work orders
• Moving and organizing materials throughout the warehouse and yard using material handling equipment
• Assembling pipe orders for shipment
• Performing quality inspections using measuring tools, gauges, and tape measures
• Following all safety procedures and operational guidelines
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work environment
• Meeting production goals while delivering high‑quality workmanship

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 6-8 months of recent experience operating machinery in a manufacturing, maintenance, fabrication, or industrial environment
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience working with tools or equipment
• Ability to lift, move, and work in a physically active environment
• Comfortable working in a non‑climate‑controlled setting
• Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail
• Reliable attendance and dependable transportation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay Details

$23.00 per hour
