Job summary

Norsk Hydro in Delhi, LA, US is seeking a hands-on production operator to ensure internal customers receive daily products on time with zero quality defects. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficient production in a busy work environment.

Daily tasks include completing cut-sheets, reading a tape measure, and monitoring industrial saws, press brakes, plasma tables, and end-mills. You will help keep the department clean and organized and maximize material usage while adhering to site

Qualifications

• Must be able to read a tape measure.
• Must be a team player to be successful.
• Follow safety and quality rules.
• Show up on time, and have good attendance.
• Wear PPE as required by team lead.

Responsibilities

• Ensure internal customers (Fabrication) receives daily products on time with no quality defects.
• Ensure we are practicing our core values and keeping mind on safety, quality and production.
• Completion of daily tasks assigned (Cut-sheets).
• Basic knowledge/experience needed on Industrial style saws, press brakes, plasma tables, end-mills are a plus.
• Must be able to read a tape measure. Testing will be conducted.
• Ensure housekeeping of the department is at an acceptable level set forth by lead and Dept. Manager.
• Ensure machines used are in working order and clean throughout the work day
• Material accuracy going to welding cell set-forth by site tolerances.
• Material racks stay safe and organized
• Maximizing usage of material .

This is a 5am to 3:30pm shift- M-Fr with some mandatory OT on Saturdays
