Job summary

Hydro Extrusions in North America seeks an entry-level production worker for saw and stretcher tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will operate the saw safely, perform measurements, and help maintain quality and machine readiness across shifts.

Starting at $21.52/hour with shift premiums and 10-hour shifts possible, training on 1st shift, and opportunities for growth within a global extrusion leader.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months of manufacturing, machine repair, or production experience.
• Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Operate the saw safely and efficiently while maintaining quality cuts and troubleshooting common issues.
• Operate stretching equipment according to order specifications and monitor material quality using micrometers, calipers, straight edges, and gauges.
• Inspect material for squareness, flatness, bow, gauge, and other specifications outlined in the work instructions.
• Perform simple maintenance to support saw performance and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Provide backup support to the Press Operator and Head Stretcher and complete cross-training on both positions.

Starting Rate of Pay:

$21.52/hour

Shifts Available and Hours:

• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM-3:00 PM
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM-11:00 PM
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM-7:00 AM

10-hour shifts may be available based on production requirements.

New hires must be available to work any of the three shifts above, based on business needs.

Training will be provided on 1st Shift.

Shift Premium:

• $0.25/hour increase after 90 days
• 2nd Shift Premium: $1.50/hour
• 3rd Shift Premium: $0.75/hour

What you will be doing

What will make you successful?

Required Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months of manufacturing, machine repair, or production experience.
• Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

• Ability to read and understand work instructions and process sheets.
• Basic mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Experience using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, or straight edges.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to safely operate production equipment and follow established safety procedures.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing for extended periods and frequent lifting of 5-25 lbs., with occasional lifting up to 70 lbs.
