Job summary

Hydro Extrusions in Delhi, LA, US is seeking a reliable Material Handler for a permanent, full-time role. Shift is 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Mon–Fri with some Saturday overtime. You will ensure daily production needs are met for Fabrication with safety and quality in mind, handling materials and keeping areas organized.

Reading a tape measure is required; follow core values and wear PPE as needed. Industrial manufacturing experience is a plus; retirement savings and bonus plan are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read a tape measure. Testing will be conducted.
• Perform daily tasks with safety, quality and production in mind.
• Experience with industrial saws, brakes, plasma tables or end mills is a plus.
• Maintain housekeeping and keep the department clean.

Responsibilities

• Ensure internal customers (Fabrication) receive daily products on time with no quality defects.
• Ensure we practice our core values and maintain safety, quality and production.
• Complete daily tasks assigned (Cut-sheets).
• Material accuracy going to welding cell as per site tolerances.
• Keep material racks safe and organized.
• Maximize usage of material.

Wage is $18.72 per hour plus benefits

This is a 5am to 3:30pm shift- M-Fr with some mandatory OT on Saturdays

What you will be doing

Primary Function:

• Ensure internal customers (Fabrication) receives daily products on time with no quality defects.
• Ensure we are practicing our core values and keeping mind on safety, quality and production.
• Completion of daily tasks assigned (Cut-sheets).
• Basic knowledge/experience needed on Industrial style saws, press Brakes, plasma tables, end-mills are a plus.
• Must be able to read a tape measure. Testing will be conducted.
• Ensure housekeeping of the department is at an acceptable level set forth by lead and Dept. Manager.
• Ensure machines used are in working order and clean throughout the work day
• Material accuracy going to welding cell set-forth by site tolerances.
• Material racks stay safe and organized
• Maximizing usage of material .
